Royal Engagement

I looked into previous official royal engagement photographs, due to the current news of Prince William and Kate i thought it would be up to date and and a fun image to work with during the excitement of the Royal wedding.


The image is very similar to Prince Charles and Princess Dianas engagement photo which is a photo everyone recognises. To adapt this photograph we could use the same style ring, however have the couple sharing a kiss (which is something the royals would never do) or have the couple chilling in a set of pyjamas on the sofa but in the same pose.

    I love this idea :) we could even use the engagement dress pics (the royal blue one) that is shown in all the magazines and dress her down, like have her in flats or we could copy the exact photo and have them in a strange environment, like the middle of a field or forest.

    Jodie Marsh and Keith Lemon have done a fashion shoot on the comedy side of Prince Williams engagement.

    I really love this idea also , i think it will be fun to play about with in being the royal family , it can be quiet Contraversial.i think it will enable us to push the boundries of what we would normally see to actualy what we want to see .

    we could produce a seriouse of images of William and kate like you say Rachel in a strange enviroment . which may be a more laid back approch to the image rather than a forced photograph. allow the viewer to see into there life .

    i think this idea is really goood :) . . .current .. i think it would be good to play with this image .like previous comments keep image same but background different it could also be fun maybe in black and white and like charlotte said getting 'raunchy' we could look at like david and victoria beckam images and compare how differently they are portrayed..

    Hay now i know this is going to seem real out their and bezzar, but we could flip the idea of them being the royal wedding and have a really normal copple, say people that live in councle flats, dressed really chave like and odd but the women would have the ring which looks the same and they would be in front of the royal palec of some thing.

    But then also could have the modles looking really well off and the seen could be a block of really bad dirty councle flats to put that comic side put their as though thay were giving back to the comunity.

    Another idea could be a couple wanting to be like willam and kate but totally dramatise it. Have the girl with the same blue dress but with over the top brown extensions, over-curled hair, huge breast implants, tons of faketan and huge eyelashes. Have the guy who is clearly not upperclass in a suit with a forced comb-over. basically having them be 'wannabes'.

    One pose could be the couple shocked as the diamond has fallen out of the ring (as it is cheap).
