Here's a youtube clip on some of the work by Cecil Beaton, one of the worlds most famous royal photographers. Later I will post some more information on him and some of his photographs that reflect more on our project.

some clothes inspiration..

Theses are some images for the shooting/riding style. Hard tweed materials, check patterns and browns, greens and beige are the basic colours.
And these are images of the princess herself, looking beautiful and classy, exactly what we are going for in two of our styles. Floaty dress, chiffon material, statement head pieces and clean cut lines are all perfect!

Clothes Sourcing...
We have decided all looks we were going for, as Kate is very classic we have gone for two very strong beautiful ladylike outfits. Each outfit will be styled up with our sweet accessories and other props we have!
For the classic blue dress, we are going to use this blue dress Charlotte has posted further down the blog!
Another style, is this black dress, to give the simple yet beautiful look, we see so often on Kate.
To give a more modern feel to the shoot, we are going for a shooting/riding look. As this is a popular sport within rich opulent families, such as the royal family.
For this look were using, beige jodhpurs, an olive barbour jacket and hunter wellies.

katy perry . . .
if we are going down the sweet theme ... katy perrys califorina girls video good for inspiration .
I think the sweets would be a really effective addition to the images of kate . Princesses are typically young , sweet polite and well mannered . the sweets would reflect her innocence and naive pressence in an aggresive media world .

Something old..something new
I really love these images i found for 'something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue'
They are so simple yet so effective, the simplistic ink drawings on a white background with only jewellery as actual items, strips back the craziness of a typical wedding, especialy a royal wedding, and focuses on what really matters, the couple. I think this is a direction we could take with our images..
Change the chaos for calm.

Tatler, Feb 2011, Collectors edition
Old fashioned..
Another interesting article i found about Diana's wedding..
The images really show how dated it all is and the hype a royal wedding can produce.
